Thank you for visiting the Gunpo Great citizens in a small city’s Citizen Hall Homepage. Gunpo Municipal or Citizen’s Hall is a structure complex for culture and art activities with various facilities such as the Grand Performance Hall, Small Performance Hall, Grand Hall Ballroom, Audio-Visual room, practice room for orchestra·dancing·chorus etc.. After its opening in May 1997, this hall has been the cultural and art focus for the 270,000 Gunpo citizens. Especially so, the Grand Performance Hall which can hold 300 performers has a capacity of 1,282 seats. This hall is for concerts, western classical music recitals, Korean classical music recitals, plays, dancing, ballet and any other art genre of this kind. And it competes with any other hall across the peninsula. Only 5 years after its opening, 50~60 excellent project performances, exhibitions and art events were held. And it has been given an excellent evaluation as culture complex and art hall by all the culture and art loving people through out Korea.
